What is Family & Community Engagement?

There are three influences in a student's life: family, school, and community. We believe when they work together, students do better. Everyone benefits when schools and families are engaged in their children's education and meaningful partnerships are created.

We offer a variety of research-based programs and initiatives that are targeted to increase family and community engagement. Each experience is designed to improve skills, deepen networks, enrich values, and increase confidence.

• Build the capacity of families and educators to continuously collaborate to support students’ academic, social and emotional success.

• Engage in proactive, accessible and two-way communication so that all families can easily understand and contribute to their child’s educational experience.

• Strengthen the connection between families, school and community to expand opportunities, provide access to resources and build family capacity.
