Our Mission is to guide and direct NNPS in the procurement of high quality goods and services at reasonable cost in support of the education of the children in the school division, while promoting maximum feasible competition and fairness, complying with legal and budgetary requirements, and maximizing the value of taxpayer dollars.

Closings and Delays

In the event Newport News Public School's Purchasing Office closes due to unforeseen circumstances on a date that a bid or proposal is due to close, those bids/proposals will be due and opened on the next "full" (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) business day at the same time stated in the IFB/RFP.
