Student Assistance
All young people will be successful when offered the right combination of opportunities, supports, and services to help them develop in a positive way.
We provides school based services for students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. Student assistance services include:
- Encourages student success in the school environment
- Teaches and facilitates comprehensive prevention and intervention programs
- Promotes multidisciplinary team and intervention system approach
- Removes the educational and behavioral barriers that interfere with academic success
- Enhances the developmental assets of students
- Promotes youth development and good citizenship
- Collaborates with community agencies
- Conducts early identification of risk factors
- Facilitates crisis support during times of critical incidents
- Determines appropriate referral and support services
- Provides suicide prevention
- Provides substance abuse education
- Facilitates student support groups
- Provides individual student supportive services
- Promotes school safety initiatives
