Move. Eat. Think. Be well. That's the motto of the NNPS Wellness Program.

We all know that our health is the most important asset we have. But despite our best intentions, we do not always do what we should to maintain - or improve - our health and wellness.

Beginning in August 2014, NNPS partnered with Viverae to launch the NNPS Employee Wellness Program. Viverae is a leading provider of wellness services; they help us coordinate our program by providing guidance, and a fun and engaging experience for each participant through a secure website that offers a variety of health tools, nutrition and physical activity trackers.

Our daily lives are filled with constant messages about healthy eating, weight management, and physical activity. We all know what we should be doing. The goal of the NNPS Wellness Program is to provide the tools and resources necessary for you to improve or maintain your health.

Joining the NNPS Wellness Program or continuing your participation is free and your participation can save you money on your monthly health insurance premiums.

All benefits eligible employees are encouraged to check it out. With your participation, we can all move, eat, think and be well, and hopefully, have some fun on our way to better health and wellness.

Participating in the NNPS Wellness Program is easy! This program will offer you the necessary tools to help you lead a healthier lifestyle. Not only is it free to you, but it can also pay! To get started, simply complete the following steps.

Step 1: Member Health Assessment

Log on to www.MyViverae.com and enter your account information.

Complete the Member Health Assessment and earn 50 points.

New to the Wellness Program ? Log on to www.MyViverae.com and click New User Registration.

  • Enter your last name
  • Date of birth
  • Your identifier (your NNPS employee ID number)
  • Registration code: nnps.

Create a username, password, and security question and click "save." After registration, you'll be asked to provide information for MyProfile. As you complete MyProfile, you'll be asked to complete the Member Health Assessment.

Step 2: Biometric Screening

Employees who undergo the Biometric Screening and have their health care professional complete and fax the confidential physician form by July 31 st 2017 will earn 50 points.

A Biometric Screening consists of a blood draw to measure your total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, cardiac risk, triglycerides, and glucose. The screening will also check your blood pressure and body composition (including height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), and waist measurement.

Biometric Screenings are usually conducted during your annual physical exam by a health care professional.

Make an appointment to see your primary care physician (or attend one of the NNPS Health Screening Clinics held in 2016) and get your biometric screening completed.

Step 3: Program Activities

Take part in the Wellness Program activities and earn 35 points.
There is something for everyone. Activities vary including online questionnaires, webinars, online courses, programs, NNPS challenges or peer challenges and special events (2017 Wellness Expo, 5k run, community sponsored health and wellness events.) Log in to your account at www.MyViverae.com for a list of program activities.

After completing the health assessment survey, the biometric screening, and participating in your choice of program activities, you've earned 150 points and are eligible for the wellness credit for the next NNPS health insurance plan year. It's that easy!

What is Viverae?

Viverae is a leading health management services provider that has partnered with NNPS to help coordinate our wellness program. Viverae will offer in-depth online health tools to help improve or maintain your health. All Benefits eligible NNPS employees can access these resources.

What is the Viverae Health Center?

The Viverae Health Center is a health and wellness resource. All Benefits Eligible NNPS employees may utilize this resource. The Viverae Health Center's staff includes various highly trained Viverae Health Professionals, such as health and exercise specialists, registered nurses, and registered dietitians.

Who can participate in the NNPS Wellness Program?

All benefits eligible employees may register to participate in the Wellness Program.. Employees may also take part in health and wellness activities on the Wellness Program website. Participation is voluntary.

What is a Member Health Assessment (MHA)?

It is an online, confidential questionnaire. The MHA identifies activities that could raise health risks. Your MHA provides suggestions for day-to-day changes to improve your health and well-being. The MHA provides a Health Score that works with your health management program's tools

What is the Biometric Screening?

It is a short, simple health exam that helps identify your health status. The screening can reveal risk factors you may have for certain health conditions. Biometric Screenings are usually conducted during your annual physical exam by a health care professional.

Your screening will check the following:

  • Blood pressure
  • Body composition, including height and weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), and waist circumference
  • Blood profile, including HDL, LDL, and total cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood glucose levels

Your Personal Health Information (PHI) is 100 percent confidential. Viverae adheres to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. They do not share personal health information with anyone, including your employer, NNPS.

What if I do not have access to the Internet?

Employees with limited or no Internet access can still participate in the Wellness Program; employees can receive health management program information by calling the Viverae Health Center at 888-VIVERAE (888-848-3723).
